Ninth Annual Intersections Undergraduate Research Conference

The Ninth Annual Intersections Undergraduate Research Conference will take place April 24, 2015 in the Sewall Center. The Honors Program would like to invite students to apply and present their research papers and creative projects.

Student have three options for presenting: 10-Minute Presentation, Poster or 50-Minute Panel Discussion

This conference highlights various disciplines and subject areas. All majors and years are invited to present. 
Students will also receive SET undergraduate research credit for presenting at the conference. Students also have the chance to be awarded the distinction of “best paper” or “best poster” from the conference.

Job Description: 

Great PAID Summer Internship Opportunity with a Corporate IT Department.
Seeking students enrolled in their Management Information Systems Management, IT or Computer Science Bachelor’s Degree program to take part in an exciting internship opportunity to learn real world experience. In this internship you will work closely with Business Analyst in setting up users, permissions and creating training material. You will work with security devices and work on network infrastructure. You may also work on projects to create and update an internet site and reports with SQL.


Must Have:

  • Interested in learning Corporate IT functions
  • Must be motivated
  • Experience with Windows Installation
  • Excellent communication skills

Preferred but not required:

  • Classes focusing on Network Security, Database, ERP Systems, Programming

Top Secret Colonials – Upcoming Events

Attention all CIS majors: specifically Cyber Forensics and Information Security.  If you have not already, please follow our Twitter page and like our Facebook page.  Information about meetings, future club events, cyber current events, and much more are provided there.  Plus, we could really use the support with getting our organization much more popular around campus.  We need your help in order to transform the Top Secret Colonials into a cyber security organization!



We are going to have an event at Chipotle (similar to the Buffalo Wild Wings one).  We are tentatively planning for March 16th from 4-8, but will confirm this date at a later time.  In addition, if you are going on the trip to The Washington Center, please see Dr. Paullet when she gets back to find out more information about how to start fundraising.
