Job Opportunities Event for Plus Consulting

The Top Secret Colonials are sponsoring another speaking engagement. Plus Consulting will be on campus on Thursday, November 5th from 4:00 – 5:00pm to discuss job opportunities. They are asking that students bring resumes in hand. There will be pizza and drinks and please remember that you will earn one hour of SET credit.

Government Resumes and Interviewing – Advice from the Department of Defense

The government offers many opportunities for many different majors. We recommend you consider it as part of your job and internship search.

However, applying for a federal job is unlike applying for jobs in other industries. This Wednesday, October 21, learn tips on developing a government resume and interviewing for a government job or internship. Also, information about the currently available audit internships within the Department of Defense (DOD) will be covered. Can’t make the 10:45am session? If you are interested in learning more about the DOD audit positions or about government resumes and interviewing, but cannot make the 10:45am program, Mr. Hepler will also be available to answer your questions and/or provide advice from 9:30am – 10:30am in the RMU Career Center in the Benjamin Rush Center (near the back entrance to campus).  This is not a formal session.  You can drop in during that time to speak with Mr. Hepler.

Going to Graduate School Seminar

The Honors Program and the Career Center are co-sponsoring a Going to Graduate School Seminar. This event is open to all students, freshmen through seniors, who might be considering attending grad school. Topics that will be covered by the panelists include the application process, how to prepare for graduate school as an undergraduate, and how to succeed in graduate school. Grad admissions staff, career center staff, past and present grad school students, and faculty members from various schools on campus will be panelists at this event.

The 2015 Career Expo will be held on Wednesday, October 7th from 12:00 PM to 4 :00 PM in the Sewall Center Arena.

This event will provide students with the opportunity to network with local and regional recruiters from over 90 companies and organization. Many of these employers are looking for spring and summer interns and also full-time hires for immediate or future openings.
