Tim Dauk (’22) will be on campus on Wednesday, March 15th to present on how to apply for a job in technology in the Federal Government. The presentation will be held in the Wheatley Cafe from 4:30 – 5:15. Information on the presentation and speaker is listed below. Students will be awarded 1 hour of SET credit. Pizza will be served.
Abstract: Applying for positions in the Federal Government can be quite different from applying for private sector jobs. This session will go over some of the differences. Benefits and position requirements will be discussed. A brief tour and familiarization with USAjobs.gov will be provided. Finally, time will be reserved for questions and answers.
Bio: Tim Dauk joined the PA Air National Guard in 2002 as an aircraft maintainer, specializing in RF systems, such as radios and navigational aids. He became a federal employee in August 2006 doing the same. He then moved to Quality Assurance in maintenance. Currently, he fills the role as an Information Systems Security Manager. His duties include vulnerability scanning, risk management, communications security, and emissions security. Tim currently has a Security + certification, and is working toward CISSP and CAP certifications. Tim is a recent graduate from RMU earning a B.S. Digital Forensics & Cyber Security in May 2022.
