CCAC Seeking Adjunct Faculty to teach in Information Technology

Community College of Allegheny County (CCAC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach in their Information Technology programs.  CCAC plays a critical role in the area’s IT workforce development, academic studies, and entry-level careers. Having a knowledgeable and experienced adjunct teaching staff to facilitate this subject matter is essential.

Courses and programs of study include specialized courses involved with:

  • Programming
  • Operating Systems
  • Networking
  • Cybersecurity
  • Data Analytics
  • Multimedia and Game Design

A complete list of course and program descriptions can be found in the CCAC Catalog. Courses are offered in various formats:

  • Day and evening on-ground (synchronous) with some classes requiring students to participate asynchronously through online work (hybrid class)
  • Day and evening (synchronous, online using Zoom) with some classes requiring students to participate asynchronously through online work (hybrid class)
  • Online classes (asynchronous) using Blackboard

CIT and Data Analytics adjunct faculty must hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information/Data Science, or Cybersecurity OR a master’s degree in any field with at least 18 graduate hours in a related technology field. Multimedia adjunct faculty must hold a bachelor’s degree in multimedia or related field with knowledge and experience in multimedia and computer graphics software. In addition, required background clearances be current and on-file.
