The CMA Program is BNY Mellon’s effort to replenish our Mainframe talent by collaborating with targeted schools and providing a robust training program for our associates. The jobholder receives both specific, on-the-job training and classroom/e-learning plus professional exposure and mentoring from industry experts. The program is designed to build upon our associates’ academic background with real life work experiences to make an impact in a technical area of extreme importance to the financial industry.

What Are We Looking For?

To be considered, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification in a systems or mainframe-based curriculum from a school nationally recognized for its curriculum strength, with the demonstration of academic outperformance. Relevant industry or internship experience demonstrating leadership and significant technical accomplishments is essential. Excellent analytical and problem solving skills are necessary, as is the ability to multi-task, communicate effectively, and work independently. S/he must also have strong oral and written communication skills.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of some or all of the following technical skill sets:
• General understanding of basic Mainframe function – storage, processing, etc.

TSC Presents: Technology Careers at PNC Bank – Tuesday, September 19th

On Tuesday, September 19th, recruiters from PNC Bank will be on campus to meet with RMU students about potential job and internship opportunities. Through this event, students can learn about the technology internships and various programs at PNC. The event will take place in the Wheatley Atrium from 4:30PM to 5:45PM.

Data Warehouse Consultants LLC seeking a Microsoft .NET Development Summer Intern

Data Warehouse Consultants LLC (DWC) is a consulting firm based in Pittsburgh, PA focusing on business intelligence and data warehouse projects. They provide services in strategy, design, architecture, development and implementation of data warehouse and other business intelligence solutions.

DWC is looking to fill a position as a Microsoft.NET Development Summer Intern. This is a great opportunity for a student studying IT or Information Systems. The intern will receive on the job training in programming and databases The intern must be able to work Monday through Friday for approximately 35-40 hours per week. The successful candidate will:

Summer IT Intern for Consol Energy Inc.

Position Summary:
Interns at CONSOL Energy take ownership of meaningful projects that deliver significant results for both the employee and the company. They have the opportunity to gain vast amounts of experience and directly impact the company by designing and implementing projects. During the summer term, interns will be assigned a mentor, be part of our interdisciplinary teams, and have access to state-of-the-art
technology through top end hardware and software.

Examples of Summer Projects may include:
– Exposure to environmental data (quality control & management).
– Organize and coordinate the improvement of the pre/post drill data system.

The project that the candidate will be working on is combining databases for the Environmental department utilizing a vendor provided software package. The database is used for tracking safety incidents, maintaining audit reports, user queries and other functions.

Qualifications:
– Education Level: working toward a BS or MS degree
– Major: All STEM related majors (Ex. Chemical, Environmental, Safety, etc.)
– Students must maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
– Have authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. on a full-time, indefinite basis without need for sponsorship now or in the future.

Network Engineer Intern with IntegraONE

IntegraONE is looking for a Network Engineering Intern to work form them during the summer. This is a full-time internship that will take place from May through August with the opportunity to continue part time in the fall, from August through December.

Responsibilities:

As the summer Network Engineer intern, you will assist the integraONE network engineering team. This is an entry level engineer position that will give you the experience in deploying and maintaining SMB and enterprise level infrastructure. You will be working with switches, routers, servers, SANs and varies wireless technologies. This position will be 90% travel within 75 miles of an integraONE office.

  • Previous work experience with related technologies
  • Firm knowledge of computer networking or computer science
  • Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions

Help Desk Intern with IntegraONE

IntegraONE is looking for a help desk intern to work with them during the summer. This is a full-time internship from May through August with the opportunity to continue part time in the fall, August through December.

Responsiblities:

As the summer IT Help Desk intern, you will help the call center of the integraONE Help Desk. This is an entry level IT position that will give you experience in PC application, computer hardware, troubleshooting skills, and interaction within the business. This position will be 90% answering Help Desk calls with basic first call resolution.

Qualifications:

  • Basic knowledge of IT hardware and applications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10
